magic bullet art exhibit at artisphere

Beginning on August 21- November 3 there will be an exhibit of local comic art from the Magic Bullet publication, featuring works by local comic artists and members of the DC Conspiracy, at Artisphere in Arlington, VA. The Magic Bullet art exhibit will be shown at the Works in Progress Gallery at Artisphere, and will run alongside the Warhol show going up around the same time. I'll have a couple of pieces in the exhibit and I'll also be participating in an art demo at Artisphere on both Thursday night, 9/12, as well as on Saturday afternoon at 9/14. A big shout out goes to Matt Dembicki and Evan Keeling for organizing this show and event! In the meantime, you can find more details HERE, as well as below.

Meet + greet with artists: Sat Sep 21 / 6-8pm with live music by Triage in the Lower Town Hall at 7pm and 8:15pm
Artists' onsite residency hours: Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm + Saturdays 1-4pm (+ Wednesday September 18)

Members of the DC Conspiracy, a comics-creating collaborative, will be working on their actual page submissions for the Spring 2014 edition of Magic Bullet, a free, semi-annual comics newspaper distributed throughout the greater Washington, DC area. The artists will each have onsite working hours so you can watch the artists draw and see the magic unfold. There will be “blank” comic pages available if you want to try your own hand at making a comic and leave it behind where it will be hung in the Gallery and posted by Artisphere to a Facebook album you can tag and share.
