Nothing says American summertime like a carnival, complete with bright lights, funnel cake and deep fried Oreos. Earlier in the month, Kris and I decided to stop by, if not briefly, to check out the week-long carnival set-up in Ashburn, Virginia. Seeing the lights and moving rides at night made me somewhat nostalgic for simpler times, when as a kid, my parents would take my brother and I to the Ohio State Fair, or one of many amusement parks in the summer months. Kris and I mostly came to try the deliciously horrible "food" and I wanted to get some photos as well. It's refreshing to see people still enjoy the good old-fashioned rides and games of yesteryear. Here's to summer!
